Currently, Turkish Airlines is the airline with the most long-haul flights operated daily in a pandemic. Eurocontrol presented a report on long-haul flights operated by legacy airlines.

According to the report, Turkish Airlines continues to operate up to 600 daily flights, continuing to expand its operational network as appropriate.

Despite the new variants of COVID causing chaos around the world, Turkish Airlines has made efforts to maintain vital connectivity for both passengers and cargo globally.

During the week of February 18-24, Turkish Airlines operated an average of 603 flights a day. Although it decreased by 52% compared to the same period in 2019, it is significantly higher than other airlines in Europe. Air France, for example, operated an average of 359 flights a day, while British Airways fell 89% from 2019, to just 102 daily flights.

During the 2020 pandemic crisis, Turkish Airlines achieved what most other airlines could not. It maintained a robust operational network, avoided layoffs and received no financial support from the government.
