Turkish Airlines buys 60 aircraft / Orders are split between Airbus and Boeing

Last day, Turkish Airlines confirmed the placing of orders for 60 aircraft (50 confirmed + 10 optional) widebody. 30 are Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and 30 are Airbus A350-900 type.

On 9 March, Turkish Airlines has confirmed the placement of orders for widebody aircraft. Not to be upset, the Turkish carrier ordered 30 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and 30 Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

Turkish Airlines buys 60 aircraft

The planes will be delivered as follows: 6 will be delivered to 2019, 14 will be delivered to 2020, 10 will be delivered to 2021, 12 will be delivered to 2022, 11 will be delivered to 2023 and 7 will be delivered in the year 2024.

The agreement with Airbus was signed last month at the Élysée Palace, Paris, during the official visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to France. Here he met with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Also, during September, during President Erdoğan's visit to New York, Boeing and Turkish Airlines announced their commitment to the 30 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
