Turkmenistan Airlines holds the first Boeing 777-200LR (video)
During this day, Boeing delivered the first Boeing 777-200LR to Turkmenistan Airlines, the official carrier of Turkmenistan. It is the first B777 Turkmenistan Airlines dedicated to commercial flights. The event coincided with the opening of a new terminal at Ashgabat International airport.
This is the first 777-200LR of the two orders. The aircraft will join the fleet of seven 717-200, three 737-300, four 737-700, five 737-800 and four 757-200. The Turkmenistan Airlines fleet modernization plan was started in 1992, when Turkmenistan's airline was the first in the Commonwealth of Independent States to command Boeing aircraft.
