UEFA has decided to eliminate Russian clubs and the Russian team from European competitions

UEFA announced on Monday, May 2, 2022, that it has excluded Russian clubs from all European competitions next season.

Initially, on 28 February 2022, UEFA decided to suspend Russia's representative teams and clubs from participating in UEFA matches until further notice. In this context, the UEFA Executive Committee has decided to suspend clubs in Russia next season as well.

Following the decision, Portugal will replace Russia in EURO Women 2022. At the same time, Russia's candidacy for the organization of EURO 2028/2032 was considered ineligible.

Russia will not be able to participate in FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 because he will not be able to play Group E qualifiers. Russia will not participate in European Under 21 Championship 2021-23 because he will not be able to play Group C qualifiers.
