From 29 November 2021, all persons (including those vaccinated with both doses) traveling to England will have to take a PCR test on the second day of arrival and isolate themselves at home until they receive the test result. If the test is positive, the person will have to isolate himself for a period of 10 days.

At the same time, all people (including those vaccinated) who are contacts of people confirmed with Omicron Covid-19 infection will have to isolate themselves at home for a period of 10 days.

Also, starting November 29, wearing a mask will become mandatory in public transport and in shops (not in restaurants and hotels).

These measures complement the measures adopted by the United Kingdom from 4 November, which are as follows:

Vaccinated persons must, as before arrival in the United Kingdom:

  • To book and pay in advance for a Covid-19 test for the 2nd day of arrival. The test can be lateral-flow or PCR. The test must also be booked by people who will stay in the UK for less than 2 days).
