The flowers and plants used for the 'live' A380 Emirates plant were naturally grown and harvested from the Dubai Miracle Garden nursery. Seven varieties of flowers were used, including Petunia, Coleus, Yellow (Tagetes), Snapdragon (Antirrhinum), Viola, Geranium (Pelargonium) and Gaillardia (Gaillardia aristata).

Over 9000 of flowers and plants form the logo Emirates, and 100 000 of flowers were used to cover the huge wings, which reach over 80,27 meters wide.

Over 200 people worked meticulously 10 hours a day, for 180 days, to coat the steel structure of 30 tons, which is shaped like an Emirates super jumbo. The structure is over 72,93 meters long.

Starting with 27 November, the flower aircraft will be exposed to the public. It will be admired from a special platform, which comprises two floors, in the center of Dubai Miracle Garden.
