On January 18, 2021, the National Committee for Emergency Situations approved Decision number 4.

It has been approved Romania's yellow list with the countries and territories for which the quarantine measure is instituted on persons arriving in Romania, list valid starting with 19.01.2021, time 18:00.

But in addition to this provision, Decision number 4 brings some additions regarding the quarantine / isolation rules.

Establishment of the quarantine exception for persons who have been vaccinated with the second dose (booster dose), if these persons enter Romania at more than 10 days after the second dose vaccinationă. The same regime applies to the person who is in direct contact with a positive person, if the time of contact was more than 10 days after vaccination with the second dose.

Establishing the possibility for people who are in direct contact with a patient with a positive SARS-VOC-2 virus to be released from quarantine on the 10th day, if they perform a test on the 8th day, its result is negative and has no symptoms specific;

Exemptions from quarantine in certain situations apply to persons arriving in Romania from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Persons arriving in Romania from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland are subject to the quarantine exceptions stipulated in Decision No. 1/2021 and Decision No. 3/2021, but also the quarantine exception if they have been detected. positive for the COVID-19 test, if more than 14 days have elapsed since the date of confirmation, but not more than 90 days from that time.

Also, for persons entering Romania from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the temporary suspension of the quarantine measure can be analyzed, as well as for persons arriving in Romania from the other states on the epidemiological risk list, for special situations involving participation in family events related to birth, marriage or death, travel for medical interventions / treatments in cases that do not support postponement (eg: oncological diseases, chronic renal failure - in hemodialysis program), etc.

Persons coming from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and exempted from the quarantine measure, respectively vaccinated persons or those who have been confirmed with SARS-VOC-2 and are in the period between 14 and 90 days from the moment of confirmation, they do not have to present the result of the COVID-19 test at the entrance to Romania.
