What are the current restrictions in Sri Lanka?

Tourists can enter Sri Lanka if they have a visa obtained online in advance, and if they present, upon arrival in the country, the negative result of a PCR test. They must also have a 14-day reservation in one of the hotels designated by the local authorities.

During the 14 days, tourists will not be able to leave the hotel except for the trips specially organized in the areas designated "travel bubble". These are trips to one of the 14 tourist attractions approved by the Government.

A tourist traveling to Sri Lanka will have to pay for two PCR tests for a stay of up to 7 days or for three tests for a longer trip. The first test must be performed on the day of check-in, the second after 5-7 days, the third after 10-14. Tests must be paid in advance - before departure, while applying for a visa.

The last condition is to purchase insurance to cover the costs of COVID-19 treatment.

As of February 19, 2021, Lot Polish Airline also launched direct flights between Warsaw and the Maldives.
