Warsaw - Prague with Boeing 787 LOT Polish Airlines
LOT Polish Airlines was the first airline in Europe to receive the modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner. After all the tests and checks, on 14 December he made the first commercial flight.
The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner (SP-LRA, MSN 35938) took off with 175 of passengers on board at 8 in the morning from Warsaw airport. 57 minutes later, the plane landed in Prague, the first destination of the 9 scheduled European cities (Prague, London, Vienna, Munich, Frankfurt, Hannover, Kiev, Budapest and Brussels). The return flight had 149 of passengers on board and landed in Warsaw at 11: 10.
787 Dreamliner LOT will fly to Prague by mid-January 2013, in the following days: 15, 16, 18, 19, 20 and 28 December; 2, 11, 12 and 14 January 2013.
From January 2013, LOT will also operate the Boeing 787 aircraft on transoceanic and transcontinental routes. It will fly to Chicago (O'Hare) on January 16, 2013, to Toronto (Pearson) on February 1, 2013, to New York (JFK) on February 3, and Beijing will receive the Boeing 787 LOT a month later, on March 3, 2013.
As for profitability and pink situations, we have little to say. LOT Polish Airlines is one of the European state-owned companies struggling to survive.
