Revenue over 1 billion lei
This result was mainly due to the operating revenues obtained from the increase in air traffic of passengers, but also to the actions to make the airport activity more efficient, undertaken from the second quarter of this year: streamlining the flows of passengers on arrivals and departures; optimizing the security control of passengers and hand luggage; two-lane extension of the outbound car flow from the airport.
Related to the significant increase in revenues and through a more efficient management of the financial resources, CNAB obtained in 2017 a gross profit of 389,7 million lei, with 45% more than last year.
Recently, in December, the Bucharest Airports National Company received the confirmation that it complies with European aviation safety standards, being authorized to operate the Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport and the Baneasa International Airport Aurel Vlaicu, in accordance with the latest European Union rules. .
The certification granted by the CNAB authorizes Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport to operate safely, without restrictions, including long-haul aircraft, which can make transatlantic flights.
One year on profit, but there are still many to be developed at Henri Coanda International Airport. And you can't perform endlessly on rough tracks. We are waiting to see the start of construction at a new terminal. In 2017, the "Henri Coandă" International Airport was passed by about 13 million passengers. It clearly needs the development of the infrastructure!
