(Video) Airbus at the Paris Air Show 2015 (day 1)
Today, 15 June 2015, Paris Air show 2015 has opened its doors. One of the largest aviation and aeronautical exhibitions in the world has gathered important industry names, including major manufacturers of civilian and military aircraft.
Airbus, Europe's leading aircraft manufacturer and one of the world's largest manufacturers, participates with 4 aircraft: two from Qatar Airways fleet (Airbus A350 XWB and Airbus A380) and two from its own next generation aircraft fleet (Airbus A350 XWB MSN002 and Airbus A380 MSN001).
Below is the summary of the first day. Airbus A350 XWB MSN002 and Airbus A380 MSN001 aircraft operated demonstration flights, while Qatar Airways (Airbus A350 XWB and Airbus A380) aircraft could be visited on the ground.
Also during this day, Garuda Indonesia signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Airbus for 30 of A350 XWB aircraft.
GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) has announced a firm order for 60 of A320neo family aircraft, including A321neo. For all aircraft ordered, GECAS chose CFM LEAP-X engines.
