The 2015 year-end has come with many new routes being launched globally. One of these is Beijing (PEK) - Havana (HAV) via Montreal (YUL) with Air China, which began to be operated on 27 December 2015.

Beijing (PEK) - Havana (HAV) route via Montreal (YUL) (13061 kilometers) is honored with 3 weekly flights, on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, aboard aircraft Boeing 777-300ER. Currently, Air China flies to 10 destinations in America: Havana, Honolulu, Houston, Los Angeles, Montreal, New York (JFK and Newark), San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Vancouver and Washington.

    I did NOT understand, why he must fly to Montreal, and then cross the entire American continent, to Cuba?!? Havana could be linked to another destination in the South, for example Sao Paulo.

      That's how they preferred and came to mind ... with a stopover in Montreal 🙂

      Well this is the fastest route. Because flights from Beijing to North America take you to the North Pole via Antarctica and then fly down to NY or other destinations, in this case Montreal.
