There are not many places in the world where you can get very close to the airport runway. The best known is Princess Juliana International Airport (IATA: SXM, ICAO: TNCM), also recognized as Saint Maarten International Airport, being the ideal place for any aviation enthusiast. It has the track bounded at the water's end, but at the end of the 10 track is the famous Maho Beach. Most aircraft land / take off on the 10 runway, passing at low altitude above the beach, and people can enjoy spectacular images.
There are rare cases when take-offs take place from the 28 runway of Princess Juliana International Airport, offering strong sensations to those on the ground, on Maho Beach. On 7 January 2015, Shripal Shah was at the right place and time, managing to film the take-off of a Airbus A319-100 American Airlines from track 28.
