(Video) #DiscoverAlitalia - the new livery Alitalia
On 4 June 2015, in front of over 1500 of employees and media representatives, as well as of the Italian Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi, Alitalia presented the new livery, the new brand, the new cabins and services on board its aircraft. The event took place at Fiumicino airport in Rome.
After 46 years, the green stripes on the fuselages of Alitalia aircraft will disappear. The new livery is simpler, more stylized and aims to be a visual identity worthy of the 21 century. The "A" is kept in the colors of the Italian flag on the tail. The "Alitalia" logo was written with a new, more modern font, which conveys the confidence and assertiveness of the new Alitalia.
The new color scheme has been unveiled on an Airbus A330-200 (I-EJGA), an aircraft from Etihad Airways and entered the Alitalia fleet on 1 June 2015. On 5 June, the first flight will operate on the Rome - Abu Dhabi route, and then fly to Milan.
The new livery, the new brand, the new cabins and services on board Alitalia aircraft represent the classic Italian style, but designed with a modern, fresh and future look. It is about reconnecting Alitalia with Italy and promoting Italy in the world. The new changes are meant to bring Alitalia into the 21 century, meeting the ambitious goals and demanding expectations of the market.
