On 19 February 2015, Airbus A350 XWB (MSN2), one of the 5 aircraft in the test fleet, first landed at the airport Madrid-Barajas "Adolfo Suarez". This flight was operated with the purpose of the A350 XWB aircraft being presented to Iberia officials, the press and the airport authorities in Madrid. Iberia has eight aircraft in command Airbus A350-900.

According to the Airbus press release, it seems that the European aircraft manufacturer is abandoning the Airbus A350-800 version, the smallest version.

"The A350 XWB is a wide-body, long-courier aircraft. It is available in 2 variants: A350-900 with up to 315 seats and A350-1000 with up to 369 seats in a standard two-class configuration. ”

A350 XWB is the newest wide-body aircraft model launched by Airbus. At the end of January 2015, A350 XWB had placed orders for 780 units from 40 customers.
