On 1 December, 2015, the first Airbus A350-900 XWB (MSN024) TAM Airlines successfully operated the first flight, departing from Toulouse base. It will be delivered in January 2016. Until delivery, the aircraft will continue to test on the ground and in the air.

LATAM Airlines Group, made up of LAN Airlines and TAM Airlines, commissioned 27 Airbus A350-900 XWB aircraft. The first A350 (PR-XTA), under the colors of TAM Airlines, is scheduled to enter operational service, starting with 25 January 2016, on the Sao Paulo-Guarulhos - Manaus-Eduardo Gomes route. International flights from Sao Paulo to Miami, Madrid and Orlando will follow. The aircraft is configured in 2 classes: 30 seats in Business Class and 318 seats in Economy Class.


TAM Airlines will be the first airline in America and fourth in the world, after Qatar Airways, Vietnam Airlines and Finnair, with Airbus A350 XWB in the fleet,
