On 9 May 2016, TAROM inaugurated the Bucharest - Hamburg route. The inaugural RO321 flight had a load rating of 75%. It was operated with the aircraft Airbus A318 (YR-ASC), and the commander was Ecaterina Teleoaca, one of the few female pilots of TAROM.
