On 14 November 2015, KLM celebrated the delivery of the first Boeing 787-9 (PH-BHC) Dreamliner from the fleet. On the morning of 14 November, at 07: 16, the aircraft landed in Amsterdam. It operated the KL7879 delivery flight on the Everett (PAE) - Amsterdam (AMS) route. It flew at an average altitude of 12500 meters, with a maximum speed of 520KTS (960km / h).
This aircraft was purchased through the leasing company AerCap. In the coming years, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner will play an important role in the evolution of the Dutch company.

Boeing 787-9 complements the 787 Dreamliner aircraft family. It is 6 meters longer compared to the 787-8, which makes it even more roomy with up to 20%, retaining the same performance as a Dreamliner. It is equipped with efficient engines, which reduce fuel consumption by at least 20%, but also the noise level by up to 40%.
