(Video) Vietnam Airlines has received the first Airbus A350 XWB in the fleet

On 30 June 2015, Vietnam Airlines received the first Airbus A350 XWB from the fleet and became the second airline with this type of aircraft in operational service. The aircraft Airbus A350-900 it was delivered to the leasing operator AerCap, and on 1 July arrived in Hanoi.

Initially, the plane was introduced on the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh route, and then flew on the Hanoi-Paris route. The Airbus A350 XWB Vietnam Airlines aircraft is configured in 3 classes and has a capacity of 305 seats: 29 seats in Business Class, 45 seats in Economy Premium and 231 seats in Economy Class.

Vietnam Airlines will receive a total of 14 A350 XWB, 10 aircraft directly from Airbus and 4 from the leasing operator, which will join the existing fleet of Airbus aircraft (49 A321 and 10 A330).

Airbus A350 XWB is the newest wide-body aircraft from Airbus. It sets new standards in terms of passenger experience, operational efficiency and profitability. At the end of February 2015, the family of A350 XWB aircraft had firm orders for 781 units from 40 customers worldwide.
