Also due to the Coronavirus epidemic, Virgin Atlantic hastened the withdrawal of the last 3 Airbus A340-600 aircraft from its fleet. The last A340 Virgin left the fleet on March 8, operating the commercial flight Lagos-Murtala Mohamed - London Heathrow.

Virgin Atlantic A340-600 G-VFIT aircraft he was 13.8 years old. It was delivered in 2006, from Toulouse directly to the Virgin Atlantic Airways fleet. It was configured in 3 comfortable classes: 45 seats in Business, 38 seats in Premium and 225 in Economy (308 seats in total). The same configuration is found on the other 2 A340-600 aircraft (G-VNAP and G-VWIN), which left the fleet in February and March 2020.
