After she had to lay off more than 3000 employees and close the Gatwick base, Virgin Atlantic announces the launch of the Manchester - Mumbai and Manchester - Delhi flights.  

Virgin Atlantic will fly three times a week from Manchester to Mumbai from December and twice a week to Delhi from January.

Virgin Atlantic flights to Mumbai and Delhi

Tickets go on sale starting October 20th. Thus, the British airline complements its existing daily services. These two routes are in addition to the existing ones departing from London Heathrow Airport.

With over 16 million Indians living abroad and 500.000 living in the north of England, India has the largest diaspora in the world.

 In addition to passenger transport, Virgin Atlantic will provide a fast and efficient cargo service. This will provide new opportunities for companies wishing to export and import goods between the UK, US and Indian markets.

Manchester - Mumbai with Virgin Atlantic

Frequency of flights to Mumbai will reach 3 rotations per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Flights VS326 and VS327 will be operated with a Boeing 787-9 aircraft, starting with December 19, 2020.

The plane will be structured in 3 classes with 31 seats in Upper Class, 35 seats in Premium Class and 192 in Economy (Delight, Classic and Light). The ticket price will be between 473 pounds for Economy Class and 2.481 pounds for Business Class.

Manchester - Delhi with Virgin Atlantic

Frequency of flights to Delhi will be 2 rotations per week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. Flights VS324 and VS325 will be operated by a Boeing 787-9 aircraft, starting January 5, 2021.

The plane will be structured in 3 classes with 31 seats in Upper Class, 35 seats in Premium Class and 192 in Economy, Delight, Classic and Light. The ticket price will be between 480 pounds for Economy Class and 2.512 pounds for Business Class.

Virgin Atlantic will expand its operational network. In addition to the new routes mentioned above, Virgin Atlantic resumed the race between Manchester and Barbados on October 26. The first flight between Manchester and Islamabad will be on December 10. Flights from London Heathrow to Islamabad and Lahore will launch on December 12 and 13, respectively.
