In 2013, Etihad Airways, the national company of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has bought 49% from Jat Airways. Under the contract: Etihad Airways will acquire 49% from Jat Airways; Jat Airways will reboot in Air Serbia; Etihad Airways and the Government of Serbia will make a capital infusion of 40 millions of dollars each; Other 60 millions of dollars will come from the loans. At the same time, all aircraft are painted in livery Air Serbia.

They are dedicated to short flights and can carry up to 66 passengers. The dyeing process in the new Air Serbia livery took place at Lelystad Airport, The Netherlands. Each aircraft stayed approximately 7 days in the paint process. At the same time, they were also upgraded to the interior, passengers now enjoying increased comfort through the new leather seats.
