Wizz Air is pleased to announce that the 7th aircraft has joined its modern fleet from Cluj-Napoca. To further support its operations in Romania and to mark the occasion, Wizz Air's state-of-the-art Airbus A321 aircraft will operate on three newly introduced routes to the Greek island of Corfu and the Italian cities of Turin and Naples. Together with the new flights, Wizz Air now offers 43 low-cost routes from Cluj "Avram Iancu" International Airport to various destinations in Europe and beyond.

Through constant recruitment efforts and new aircraft added to the entire network, Wizz Air is supporting operations to and from Cluj-Napoca despite the challenges facing the aviation industry this summer. With the seventh aircraft allocated to the base and the new routes added to the Romanian network, Wizz Air consolidates its position as the market leader, as the largest airline operating from Cluj-Napoca.

These efforts reaffirm the airline's commitment to offer popular destinations and ultra-low fares to as many passengers as possible in the most sustainable way. Most of the airline's flights are on schedule, helping more than 130.000 passengers reach their destinations every day in July.

Romanian passengers can now travel from Cluj-Napoca to the island of Corfu every Monday and Friday, with the first flight departing on August 1. In addition, the other two routes from Cluj-Napoca to Naples and Turin are operated on Wednesdays and Sundays, both starting on August 3. All three destinations to the beautiful Mediterranean countries are perfect for family and summer holidays, full of culture, history, delicious food, lively beaches and memorable experiences.

In addition to these new markets, Wizz Air has increased the frequency of the Cluj-Napoca – Paris-Beauvais route with three more flights, to 9 flights per week. The frequency of flights to Barcelona has been increased by two additional flights to 7 flights per week. Routes to Málaga, Madrid, Tel-Aviv, Doncaster-Sheffield, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg and Memmingen have increased by one flight per week.
