Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has announced the first flights to Russia: Abu Dhabi - Moscow Vnukovo!

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi plans to connect Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) with Moscow Vnukovo Airport (VKO) starting December 15th. Initially, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will fly four times a week, and will fly daily on February 6, 2022.

The planned launch of the service to Moscow is one of the seven new routes launched by ULCC in the fourth quarter of 2021, according to data provided by OAG Schedules Analyzer. The service from Aabu Dhabi to Sarajevo (SJJ) in Bosnia and Herzegovina started on October 3, and flights to Odessa (ODS) from Ukraine start on October 7.

From October 31, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will connect Abu Dhabi with Muscat (MCT) in Oman, followed by the route to Kutaisi (KUT) in Georgia and Yerevan (EVN) in Armenia on December 15. Sohag (HMB) in Egypt joins the carrier's network on December 18th.

OAG data show that Etihad Airways currently serves the Abu Dhabi - Moscow route four times a week, flying to Moscow Domodedovo (DME). Aeroflot will fly 3 times a week on the route Moscow Sheremetyevo (SVO) - Abu Dhabi, from November 13. While AZUR Air is scheduled to operate a VKO-AUH service twice a week in November.

Aeroflot, AZUR Air, Emirates, Flydubai, Pobeda, S7 Airlines and Ural Airlines fly between Moscow and Dubai, while Aeroflot and Air Arabia serve the Russian capital from Sharjah (SHJ) and Ural Airlines from Ras al Khaimah (RKT) .
