Wizz Air celebrates 15 millions of passengers on its routes from the Bucharest base today. The lucky passenger with the number 15 million traveled from Rome Ciampino to Bucharest and was greeted on arrival by company representatives with a return ticket - returned to any of the Wizz Air destinations at Otopeni airport.

Wizz Air continues to expand its operations in the country and bring more travel opportunities at acceptable passenger costs. Since the beginning of the 2017 year, almost 932.000 passengers have enjoyed the WIZZ services on all routes in Bucharest, which represents an increase of over 34% over the same period last year.

Passengers traveling on WIZZ routes from Bucharest have the opportunity to discover 46 destinations, to 19 countries, throughout Europe and beyond. From 30 June to 2017, you can enjoy Wizz Air flights on the route Bucharest - Warsaw.

Wizz Air offers now tickets from 19 Lei / segment, which underscores his commitment to providing accessible trips to and from Romania for even more passengers.

Wizz Air recently completed the first quarter of 2017 with a new passenger record, a massive expansion of its operations and local network. In the three months of 2017, almost 1,45 million passengers traveled with WIZZ on more than 130 low-cost routes from Romania, including the 13 new routes that started this year from the airports in Cluj-Napoca, Craiova , Suceava and Bucharest.

Wizz Air consolidates its position, being the first option for passengers in Romania. At the same time, the load factor along the entire WIZZ network has increased by more than 7,4% over the same period last year, from 85,4% to 92,8% (in 2017).

Since the beginning of this year, WIZZ has supported more than 1.000 jobs in associated industries and stimulated tourism and business sectors across the country.

The Wizz Air fleet in Romania is now made up of 21 of Airbus A320 aircraft, including new and modern 5 Airbus A321, with 230 seats, being the most efficient single-aisle commercial aircraft of the moment.

Currently, the company offers 56 destinations in 20 countries, with a total of 134 routes for sale from 10 airports in Romania, including the latest operations from Craiova to Tel Aviv and from Bucharest to Warsaw, which will start from June.
