Wizz Air extends the flight suspension period, with a few exceptions.
Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, has announced that it is extending the flight suspension period. Several routes to and from Romania will remain suspended due to extension of travel restrictions introduced by the Romanian authorities.
Consequently, routes to Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom will be suspended until 28 May inclusive. Also, the reopening of the Wizz Air base at Timisoara Airport is postponed to May 29.

Passengers with reservations affected by the flight suspension will be automatically notified by email if they have booked directly on wizzair.com or through the mobile application.
Customers will automatically receive in the WIZZ client account 120% from the amount paid for the trip, an amount that can be used in the next 24 months for the purchase of Wizz Air products and services.
Passengers can choose to reimburse the money - which will take longer - and will be informed of the steps required for a bank transfer or transfer to a bank card through a separate email. In this case, customers will only be able to receive 100% of the amount paid initially.
Passengers who have booked through travel agencies - including online travel agencies - should contact the agency where they purchased their tickets.
Wizz Air apologizes for any inconvenience these travel restrictions may cause to customers and assures them that the safety and well-being of passengers and crew remain the company's top priorities.
But there are a few exceptions. Wizz Air continues to fly from May 15 to May 31 to destinations in Hungary, Lisbon, Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
