Wizz Air extends the period of suspension of flights from Romania

Wizz Air has announced that most of the routes in Romania remain suspended. The routes to France and Germany are suspended until May 3, and routes to The Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom remain suspended until April 30.

The measures are caused by extension of travel restrictions imposed by the Romanian authorities on all flights from Romania to these countries, as part of efforts to limit the Covid-19 pandemic.

Passengers with reservations affected by the flight suspension will be automatically notified by email if they have booked directly on wizzair.com or through the mobile app. Customers will automatically receive in the customer account WIZZ Air 120% from the amount paid for the trip, an amount that can be used in the next 24 months for the purchase of Wizz Air products and services.

Passengers can choose to reimburse the money - which will take longer - and will be informed of the steps required for a bank transfer or transfer to a bank card through a separate email. In this case, customers will only be able to receive 100% of the amount paid initially.

Passengers who have booked through travel agencies - including online travel agencies - should contact the agency where they purchased their tickets.

Wizz Air apologizes for any inconvenience these travel restrictions may cause to customers and assures them that the safety and well-being of passengers and crew remain the company's top priorities.
