Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced today that it will extend the period on which several routes in Romania are suspended due to extension of the existing travel restrictions, introduced by the Romanian authorities. Thus, flights to Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom will remain suspended until June 16 inclusive.

It will then be possible to fly to Hungary, Lisbon, Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

Wizz Air suspends flights from Romania until June 16

Passengers with reservations affected by the flight suspension will be automatically notified by email if they have booked directly on wizzair.com or through the mobile app. Customers will automatically receive in the customer account WIZZ 120% from the amount paid for the trip, an amount that can be used in the next 24 months for the purchase of Wizz Air products and services.

Passengers can choose to reimburse the money - which will take longer - and they will be informed about the steps required for a bank transfer or transfer to a bank card through a separate email. In this case, customers will only be able to receive 100% of the amount paid initially. Passengers who have booked through travel agencies - including online travel agencies - should contact the agency where they purchased their tickets.

Wizz Air apologizes for any inconvenience these travel restrictions may cause to customers and assures them that the safety and well-being of passengers and crew remain the company's top priorities.
