Wizz Air has announced today that it will introduce allocated seats starting May 2015 to improve passenger experience and comfort. The service will be launched on selected routes from 4 to 2015 and throughout the WIZZ network from 19 to 2015. Customers will have a free automatic allocation system, which will be integrated into the booking process from April 8.

Wizz Air will allocate seats close to passengers traveling together on the same reservation, where possible. Customers will be able to change their seat with another seat for a commission starting at 1 euros. The change can be made on wizzair.com or via the WIZZ smartphone app up to 3 hours before the aircraft departs. The places rented, such as those on the first line, for fast landing, or the places with extra space for the legs, can be reserved for a higher commission, depending on availability and according to the first applicant's rule.

The system of seats allocated Wizz Air will work starting with 4 more on certain routes (Budapest-Barcelona, Katowice-London, Bucharest-Dortmund), and then, from 19 May, will be introduced on all 360 of Wizz Air routes from 37 of countries.

Customers who booked tickets prior to April 8 for flights with allocated seats will be assigned seats at check-in, while passengers with reservations that include WIZZ Xtra legroom and WIZZ Reserved Seat will be able to choose their seats without no additional cost.

WIZZ Premium and WIZZ Privilege Pass member passengers will be able to choose any seat for free and will continue to benefit from Priority Boarding to avoid waiting in line. Starting with 8 April, Wizz Air reduces the Priority Boarding service fee to just 2 euros.
