Wizz Air invests 100 million in Budapest

The low-cost airline Wizz Air has announced that it wants to invest 100 millions of dollars to expand its operations in Budapest and will resume flights from Bucharest to the Hungarian capital. All of these were announced after the Hungarian state operator Malev stopped all flights on Friday morning.

The funds will be invested in 2 Airbus A320 aircraft starting in March, representing an increase of 66% of total capacity. On this occasion, Wizz Air recalculated its estimates of the number of passengers carried, from 1,4 million to 2 million passengers at the Budapest airport.
