Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced today that several routes in Romania remain suspended due to extension of travel restrictions imposed by the Romanian authorities on the respective countries of destination.

Thus, routes to France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom remain suspended until May 14 inclusive. However, the reopening of the base in Timisoara is postponed for May 15.

Passengers with reservations affected by the flight suspension will be automatically notified by email if they have booked directly on wizzair.com or through the mobile app. Customers will automatically receive in the customer account WIZZ 120% of the amount paid for the trip, an amount that can be used over the next 24 months to purchase Wizz Air products and services.

Passengers can choose to reimburse the money - which will take longer - and they will be informed about the steps required for a bank transfer or transfer to a bank card through a separate email. In this case, customers will only be able to receive 100% of the amount paid initially. Passengers who have booked through travel agencies - including online travel agencies - should contact the agency where they purchased their tickets.

Wizz Air apologizes for any inconvenience these travel restrictions may cause to customers and assures them that the safety and well-being of passengers and crew remain the company's top priorities.
