Wizz Air will allocate new aircraft to Vienna base and launch 5 new routes / Including Vienna - Suceava from July 3, 2020
On January 17, 2020, Wizz Air announced 5 new routes from Vienna base and the allocation of a new Airbus A321 aircraft. The aircraft will be allocated on July 1, 2020, which will facilitate the expansion of operations from the base in Vienna.
The 5 new routes will be: Alghero, Corfu, Faro, Podgorica and Suceava (as of July 3, 2020). At the same time, there will be an increase in flight frequencies to Milan, Rome, Malaga and Porto. The new routes are loaded into the system, with fares starting at € 19.99. With the launch of the 5 new routes, the Vienna Wizz Air operational network has 49 destinations in 27 countries. These include the Vienna - Cluj route, which was inaugurated on May 30, 2018.

The 8th aircraft will arrive in June, and the 9th aircraft on July 1, 2020. The plan is that from 2020, the entire fleet allocated to the Vienna base will be composed of 321 passengers with A230 aircraft.
In 2019, Wizz Air carried approximately 2.2 million passengers to / from Vienna. And by 2020, Wizz Air will have 4.1 million seats in Vienna's operational network.
