Wizz Air will resume operations in Vienna and will fly to 5 destinations starting with May 1, 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to the blockade of many industries and trillions of dollars in financial losses globally. The governments of the countries are taking radical measures in the hope that they will be able to stop the spread of the virus. Millions of flights were suspended and airlines were forced to detain thousands of planes on the ground.

During all this period of isolation and restrictions, people begin to agitate, to lose patience. In Romania, as in many other countries, people can't wait for flights to resume. In our country, military ordinance 10 led to the suspension of flights until May 14. However, in other countries the restrictions are beginning to be lifted.

Wizz Air will resume flights from Vienna

For example, a number of restrictions have been lifted in Austria. And Wizz Air plans to resume flights from the base in Vienna from May 1, 2020. For the beginning, flights will be operated to 5 destinations: Dortmund, Oslo, Thessaloniki, Lisbon and Eindhoven. At first, the frequencies will be reduced, but the plan is to increase the number of flights depending on demand.

Although the resumption of flights is planned, the same cannot be said of tourism in Austria. The Austrian government has decided to keep the hotels closed until May 29. Restaurants and cafes will be open on May 15. In these circumstances, we can not talk about tourists in Austria until the end of May.
