Before we develop information from the title, let's see how it is with COVID-19 vaccines in general. From what I have discussed with people who specialize in virology, viral diseases and who are also aware of vaccines, I have learned that the fight against coronaviruses it is not from 2020, but from around 1920 when the first coronavirus infections appeared in animals.

Over the years, humanity has been hit by epidemics or pandemics with coronavirus, on a small scale which is true, and the best known are Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS / COVID-1). But Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome 2 (COVID-2 / COVID-19) is much more aggressive and manifests itself on a large scale.

Scientists are no strangers to a coronavirus, only that the new coronavirus is much more aggressive than its predecessors. Given that there has been research for years, it has been much easier for them now to start from existing information.

Using computing technology, even something supercomputers, here we have on the market today some vaccines against the new coronavirus. It does not offer 100% protection, but the efficiency is over 90%. At least the chances of getting in serious shape or getting to the hospital decrease considerably.

In addition to the vaccines already approved and which have been administered to millions of people, WHO is monitoring another 294 vaccines for COVID-19, which are in various stages of development, testing and approval. 110 are already in various stages of clinical development.

Depending on the type of vaccine manufactured, we have the following:

Viral vector (no replication) - There are 17 vaccines in clinical development and 20 in preclinical development, according to the WHO. These are similar to AstraZeneca.

RNA - There are 18 vaccines in clinical development and 23 in preclinical development. These are similar to the current Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, which is a messenger RNA or mRNA.

Protein subunit - There are 37 vaccines in clinical development, which is more than a third of the total vaccines in this phase. There are also 69 in preclinical development. This is the type developed by Novavax and Sanofi-GSK, which are currently being examined by European regulators for approval.

Virus inactivated - There are 16 vaccines in clinical development and eight in preclinical development. They are similar in structure to Sinovac and Sinopharm.

DNA - There are 10 vaccines in clinical development and 16 in preclinical development. right Times of India, Zydus Cadila requested the emergency use authorization, the results of the tests and analyzes being good.

Most vaccines are developed for two doses. 72 of the vaccines in clinical development are with two doses, differing only in the period between doses. At some the difference between doses is at four weeks, others at three weeks. There are vaccines developed in a single dose, similar to Johnson and Johnson. The vaccine developed by Zydus Cadila could be given in three doses.

Most of the vaccines developed are administered by injection into the arm. There are developing vaccines that could be given nasally or orally. An oral vaccine was also used for polio. Scientists are working. We can say that thanks to vaccines we have reached 7.8 billion people on the planet.

We do not tell you to get vaccinated or not. It's your choice! It is important to make the decision after the correct documentation.
