On April 8, 2020, Wuhan reopened after 76 days of total isolation. People celebrated like on a New Year's night. There were fireworks, horns. The Chinese went out and sang. And with the opening of the city, domestic flights from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport were also resumed.

Wuhan is recognized as the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic. The city and the airport were closed / quarantined on January 23, 2020. In 76 days, only cargo, military, medical and repatriate aircraft flew to Wuhan.

With the decrease in the number of new cases of COVID-19, the Chinese authorities have decided to lift all restrictions imposed on the Hubei region, which has the capital in Wuhan.

On April 8, Wuhan recorded 221 flights. There were 107 take-offs and 114 landings. In total, there were 11.714 passengers: 7.119 departed, while 4.595 arrived. The first 3 airlines with the most flights were China Southern, China Eastern and Xiamen Airlines. They totaled about 53% of the flights operated on the first day.
