UPDATE: France is open to all European citizens, including Romanian citizens. Free on flights between Romania and France.

Initial story: Yesterday, June 22, we would like to announce with great enthusiasm that you will no longer be in quarantine / isolation if you travel to Romania from Italy, France, Ireland, Estonia and Finland. INSP Romania updated the list of countries in the green area, low risk of COVID-19.

According to Decision No. 31 of 22.06.2020, the green list is completed with the following countries: Italy, France, Ireland, Estonia and Finland. From June 23, 2020, all those who will return to Romania from these countries will no longer be obliged to enter isolation / quarantine.

And yesterday, we announced that flights to these countries are resumed in Italy, France, Ireland, Estonia and Finland. It's just that, what to see, the flights between Romania and France are in question.

Romania accepts flights, but France has some imposed travel rules and does not accept citizens from outside the Schengen area. And as Romania is not in Schengen, so these rules are imposed even on Romanians. This decision greatly reduces the volume of passengers.

It seems that, for these reasons, Wizz Air has suspended flights between Romania and France.

After all, it is not the flights between Romania and France that are suspended, but the access of citizens from outside the Schengen area. We are waiting to see what decisions France will take on this situation, especially on Romania.
