Alaska Airlines returns to Miami (MIA) after a 10-year absence. It plans to launch a new daily flight from its Seattle hub (SEA), being the 100th destination from this base.
Alaska Airlines, a member of the oneworld alliance, intends to start the Seattle - Miami flights on June 16, 2022, using Boeing 737-900 aircraft. With a length of 4.377 km, it will become one of the longest flights in the airline's network.
Alaska Airlines, which last flew to Miami in July 2012, will continue to fly to Fort Lauderdale (FLL), as well as seasonal winter services to Los Angeles (LAX), Portland (PDX), San Diego (SAN) and San Francisco. Francisco (SFO).
The new route will join the SEA-MIA service of the oneworld partner American Airlines, which currently operates daily using Airbus A321neos.
Flights will take off from Seattle at 07:15 and arrive in Miami around 16:15. The return flight will take off at 17:40 and will arrive in Seattle at 21:10.
