Weather in Greece. Weather forecast for Greece!

Greece is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world and, especially, for Romanians. Mild Mediterranean climate, warm sea, beaches of Greece well-maintained, well-developed infrastructure and a wide range of attractions and sights have made the land of the gods a popular tourist destination.

Weather in Greece

Greece's climate is divided into 3 categories:

  • Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and warm summers. Temperatures rarely exceed extremes, although sometimes it snows even in Athens or Crete. This climate is present in all coastal areas, including the Greek islands and in parts of mainland mainland Greece.
  • Alpine climate especially in western Greece (Epirus, Central Greece, Thessaly, western Macedonia as well as in the central parts of the Peloponnese, such as Achaia, Arcadia and parts of Lakonia where the mountain range passes).
  • Temperate climate in central and eastern Macedonia, as well as in Thrace, in places such as Komotini, Xanthi and northern Evros, with humid and frosty winters and dry and hot summers

Thanks to the mild and warm climate, the summer tourist season officially starts in May, but you can travel even in April. Outside the summer season, destinations such as Athens or Thessaloniki are ideal for city breaks. These are just a few of the arguments that recommend a trip to Greece for vacation or travel.
