Brasov - Chisinau, from the 2023 summer season? Brașov airport could be operational from June 15, 2023!

The Brașov authorities have set a new deadline for the commissioning of the new airport, the first built from scratch after 1989. According to the statement made by the president of the Brașov County Council, the airport could be operational from June 15, 2023, and one of the Brasov - Chisinau.

"We had discussions with an airline and there are chances that we will have a direct flight on the Brașov - Chisinau route", announced Veștea, quoted by brasovmetropolitan.ro. 

We remind you that in recent years, the Brașov County Council had discussions with several operators interested in the Ghimbav airport, and the list of destinations included, among others, countries such as Italy, Spain, Great Britain or Turkey. The Republic of Moldova is new in the official mentions with possible connections with the Brașov airport!

The last necessary work is currently being done before homologation and calibration. The markings are made and the radio navigation elements are mounted.

Brasov airport has more tourist potential because the area is favorable for the development of tourism throughout the year. Winter could attract tourists who are passionate about winter sports, while in the summer season, tourists who want to hike, relax in nature can travel.
