At the Paris Air Show 2019, KLM Cityhopper ordered 35 of Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. 15 aircraft are farms plus 20 of optional aircraft. The transaction was valued at 2.48 billion dollars.
In 2008, KLM Cityhopper has begun an extensive fleet modernization process. He replaced the Fokker aircraft with the modern Embraer aircraft. Currently, KLM Cityhopper owns the largest fleet of Embraer aircraft, 49 units. 32 aircraft are Embraer E190, and 17 are Embraer E175.
E195-E2 Embraer for KLM Cityhopper
By placing an order for the Embraer E195-E2 model, KLM gives a reliable vote to the new Embraer E2 aircraft. They will be delivered during the 2021-2023 period.
The new Embraer E195-E2 has a lower fuel consumption by 30% compared to the current Embraer E190 model. At the same time, it offers extra comfort for passengers.
Embraer E195-E2 is the largest aircraft in the E2 family. It can carry up to 146 passengers in one class. Flight range is up to 4800 kilometers.
