The employees of an airport in Spain were arrested for allegedly stealing 2 million euros, jewelry and watches from passengers' luggage!

14 employees of the Tenerife South airport were arrested and another 20 are being investigated, after allegedly stealing almost 2 million euros from passengers' luggage, informs the Guardia Civil, quoted by digi24.ro

The suspects, employees of different airlines, formed a criminal group involved in theft and money laundering.

They took advantage of access to aircraft aisles and stole money, jewellery, watches and electronic devices without being seen. Each member of the group had a specific role – from choosing flights and hiding stolen goods to selling them in stores or online.

In the sights of the authorities are also 27 jewelers, who are supposed to have collaborated with the members of the network.
