The Romanian authorities are looking for solutions to bring approximately 790 Romanians, who are on pilgrimage to Israel, to the country as quickly as possible, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said on Saturday. The repatriation of the Romanians comes in the context in which the Israeli army decreed state of war as a result of the attacks launched by the Hamas movement.

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu was asked by the press, on Saturday, at the PSD headquarters, if in Israel, in the "Hamas controlled areas" there are Romanians who have asked for help to be repatriated.

"There are around 790 Romanians, at this moment, pilgrims, and, together with the Foreign Minister, we are looking for options to bring them home as quickly as possible. As you well know, at this moment all airports in Israel are closed. A state of war warning has been issued, we will see how things develop. There are no Romanians injured or in the direct conflict zone. There are about seven localities where Hamas forces advanced, we will see the dynamics in the next period", said Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, quoted by digi24.ro.
