We all had at least a discussion with friends about where the longest ski slope is. All skiers know that one of the best things in the world is a long ski slope. They can increase their speed without worrying and enjoy the sport without thinking about when they will have to slow down because the slope is over… but where is - in Europe - the longest ski slope?

The ski resort Le Grand Massif - Flaine / Les Carroz / Morillon / Samoëns / Sixt is located in the Faucigny massif and the Faucigny Grand massif. For skiing and snowboarding, there are 265 km of slopes available, and 55 lifts carry guests. The winter sports area is located between elevation 697 and 2.480 m.
The Great Massif consists of the villages of Samoens, Morillon, Les Carroz, Sixt and the famous Flaine. The ski slopes are connected and there is a wonderful view of the Hochsavoyer Alps and Mont Blanc. Saas-Fee is the main village of Saastal or Saas Valley and is a municipality in the Visp district of the canton of Valais in Switzerland. The village is located on a high mountain plateau, at 1.800 meters, surrounded by a total of 13 mountain peaks that exceed the altitude of 4.000 meters. The village is also called the Pearl of the Alps. It is a classic ski resort with well-preserved Swiss architecture and a pedestrian town center. The other villages in the Visp district are Saas-Almagell, Saas-Grund and Saas-Balen.

Skiing is especially fun in the natural ski resort Glungezer. Families especially appreciate the small ski lifts, where comfort is still a priority, and tourists can enjoy the mountain experience without crowded slopes. It takes no more than 15 minutes to get to the slopes from any of the holiday villages in the Hall-Wattens region. Skiers and snowboarders can explore over 23 km of slopes, ranging from 950 to 2304 meters above sea level, until the end of spring.
Obersaxen- Mundaun-Val Lumnezia -> 15 km

Obersaxen Mundaun Lumnezia has a lot to offer with 16 ski lifts and 120 kilometers of slopes. The slope leads from the Schwarze Schneide BIG3 platform to the base of the Gaislachkogl station. The vertical difference is almost 2000 m, which is unique in Austria.
Sölden is a popular ski resort and regularly hosts the first races of the World Cup of the season. A huge slalom for both men and women is - usually - scheduled for the end of October on the Rettenbach Glacier. The races in October 2016 started at 3.040 m and ended at 2.670 m, a vertical drop of 370 m.
Schilthorn-Mürren-Lauterbrunnen -> 15.8 km

Since 1928, the largest amateur ski race has taken place on Schilthorn. The Inferno-Race course starts slightly below Schilthorn and leads to Lauterbrunnen in the valley. The ski resort Schilthorn-Mürren-Lauterbrunnen is located in the Jungfrau region. For skiing and snowboarding, there are 54 km of slopes and 3 km of ski trails available. 16 lifts carry guests. The winter sports area is located at an altitude of 2970 m. Schilthorn is the highest ski resort in the Bernese Oberland. It offers skiers a spectacular panoramic view of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Swiss Jungfrau-Aletsch Alps", which includes the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The cable cars take those wanting from Stechelberg to the village of Mürren.
Bansko -> 16 km
