Train traffic between the North Station and Otopeni Airport will be interrupted for 2 days

Train traffic on the Bucharest Nord – Pajura – Mogoşoaia – Airport route will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, between 9:00 a.m. and 13:00 p.m., for the biannual overhauls of the track electromechanisms and track switches.

According to the National Railway Company CFR SA, the revisions will take place on October 10 and 11 and will consist of de-energizing the contact line.

Thus, during the two days of works, the direct connection to and from the Henri Coandă International Airport (AIHC) will be provided by the Bucharest Ilfov Transport Company, which reopens the line 780 Basarab Station - Henri Coandă International Airport, on which four buses will run, in the time interval 9:00 - 13:30, with departures from Basarab Station, respectively AIHC, at an interval of 30 minutes: departures from Basarab Station, between 9:00 - 12:30; departures from the Henri Coandă International Airport terminal, between 10:00 a.m. and 13:30 p.m.

"We mention the fact that, during the railway works, namely October 10-11, 2023, CFR SA requested the two railway passenger transport operators - CFR Călători and Transferoviar Călători - to cancel 12 routes, out of the 72 scheduled in the daily timetable on the Bucharest Nord – Henri Coandă International Airport Bucharest T1 route, the other trains complying with the traffic schedule established in Train Travel", it is stated in the CFR SA press release.
