Farnborough Airshow 2018 (Day 2): Boeing, Embraer and ATR

We continue the Farnborough International Airshow 2018 retrospective with 2. Boeing recorded nearly 150 orders at FIA18 and revised the forecast for the next 20 years.

On the 2 day of Farnborough International Airshow 2018, Boeing recorded orders for approximately 150 aircraft and revised the forecast for the next 20. According to estimates, global aviation will need 42 700 of new aircraft, totaling 63 of billions of dollars.

Embraer has obtained orders and commitments for approximately 300 aircraft, including the E2 family. While ATR delivered the 1000-72-600 aircraft, the lucky customer was IndiGo. But let's take them one at a time.

BOEING

GECAS, Boeing

On the 2 day of the Farnborough International Airshow 2018, Boeing received orders for approximately 150 aircraft. Most of the orders came from ALC (Air Lease Corporation) leasing companies; Aviation Capital Group; GECAS (GE Capital Aviation Services).

ALC (Air Lease Corporation) has opted for 75 737 MAX 8 and 3 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The order was valued at 9.6 billion dollars. ALC is an older customer for Boeing. From 2010 until now, ALC has opted for 361 for Boeing aircraft: 288 from the 737 family; 21 x 777 and 52 Dreamliner aircraft.

Another leasing company, Aviation Capital Group, placed an order for 20 of 737 MAX 8 aircraft, valued at $ 2.34 billion. ACG will order 100 from single-aisle family aircraft, including MAX 9 and MAX 10.

Company GECAS (GE Capital Aviation Services) opted for 35 for new 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighters aircraft.

Volga-Dnepr-Order

On the cargo aircraft side, an important order came from Volga-Dnepr Group and CargoLogicHolding. An agreement for 29 of Boeing 777F aircraft has been concluded and an order has been confirmed for 5 Boeing 747-8 Freighters aircraft. Orders were valued at 11.8 billion.

EMBRAER

Embraer-E2

For Embraer, the 2 day of Farnborough International Airshow 2018 brings the most important orders. Republic airways signed a letter of intent for 200 of E175 aircraft, which can be converted to E2. There is also an option for additional 100 aircraft. The contract was valued at 9.3 billion dollars at list price.

The Swiss carrier, Helvetic Airways, signed a letter of intent for 12 x E190-E2, with the rights to purchase additional 12 x E195-E2. They will replace 7 E190 and 5 x Fokker 100 aircraft between 2019 and 2021. At the same time, this aircraft model will allow it to fly to London-City.

Embraer-E190-E2

Wataniya Airways placed a firm order for 10 E195-E2 aircraft, plus rights to purchase additional 10 aircraft. They will be configured with 118 seats in two classes and will be delivered starting with the 2020 year.

Brazilian low-cost BLUE signed a letter of intent for another 21 of E195-E2 aircraft.

Mauritania Airlines It also placed a firm order for 2 x E175 from 76 seats, which will be delivered next year and will replace older aircraft in its fleet.

Finally, Embraer announced a letter of intent for 5 x E195-E2 (3 farms, two optional), order received from a company in Spain.

ATR (Regional Transport Aircraft)

ATR produces propeller aircraft of the type ATR 42 and ATR 72. 17 July 2018 (the 2 day at the Farnborough International Airshow 2018) brought the 1000 aircraft from the ATR 72 family. This is an 72-600 delivered to the low-cost carrier IndiGO.
