The Fly Lili company will start operating at the Braşov-Ghimbav International Airport from June 2024.
The announcement was made during a meeting that Jürgen Andreas Faff, the owner of Fly Lili, and Cătălin Cotruţ, the general director of the company, had on Thursday, January 25, with the president of the Braşov County Council, Todorică-Constantin Şerban, the general director of Braşov-Ghimbav International Airport, Constantin Albu, the president of the Administrative Council of the Autonomous Authority "AIBG", Ştefan Daniel Micu, the director of DSNAR Arad, Florin Manta, and the general director of the Kronaero handling company, Ciprian Oprescu.
On this occasion, the participants decided that during the month of February, Fly Lili representatives will announce the specific destinations and flight frequencies.
At the same time, the possibility was analyzed for Fly Lili to establish one of its operational bases at Braşov Airport, a fact that would allow the realization of a number of three round-trip flights per day, seven days out of seven, during the 16-hour interval of the Airport's operation Brasov.
"We had a very productive meeting, during which we established concrete details of the collaboration with Fly Lili, but it is normal that the official announcement regarding the destinations and the flight schedule is communicated by the company officials, as well as when the tickets go on sale. We thank the officials of Fly Lili for the interest shown in our airport, for the professional and efficient way in which they have built the operational plan that they will implement from this summer and for this auspicious beginning of our collaboration", said the general director of AIBG Constantin Albu.
For his part, the president of the Braşov County Council, Todorică-Constantin Şerban, claimed that "we held essential discussions for the efficient planning of flights that are found in the requirements of the residents of Brasov and to ensure that our expectations, the County Council and AIBG, are aligned with those of the parties involved. We simulated route and timetable planning to facilitate the best connections, we measured through indicators the management of passenger traffic, taking into account compliance with specific rules and procedures. I am motivated and I know that great achievements cannot be made overnight, that is why I encourage the people of Brasov to realize that the opening of this airport is in itself an exceptional success. We won't give up until we fully operationalize it!".
