France has adopted new rules on the Green Pass. It will no longer be valid without the booster dose!
More than half a million French people will find that the Green Pass vaccination will no longer be valid on Saturday, January 15, after the government introduced new rules. Thus, the validity of the green pass will be given by the third dose / booster dose.
Starting with January 15, 2022, the validity of the green pass will be conditioned by the timely completion of the booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine for people aged 18-65 years.
So:
- People who have received 2 doses of vaccine should give the booster no later than 7 months after the second injection, • People who have had Covid-19 and then received a single dose of vaccine (AstreZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna) should recall within 7 months of injection;
- People who have received a dose of vaccine and have had Covid-19 more than 15 days after the injection should have the booster no later than 6 months after infection;
- People who have had Covid-19 and received a dose of Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) after infection should have the booster no later than 2 months after the injection;
In the case of persons not yet eligible for the booster dose, the vaccination certificate for the initial vaccination schedule (single dose or two doses) remains valid. People over the age of 18 are eligible for the booster dose three months after the last dose of the vaccine given or infected.
For people who have received the booster dose, the Health Pass becomes active as follows:
- 7 days after the second dose for Janssen / Johnson & Johnson vaccine;
- 7 days after the second dose for people who have previously been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus (this is a measure applied by France to people who have been through the disease and whose 180 days have expired after were infected, until January 15 this year, in their case a single dose of vaccine was valid);
- 7 days after the third dose for Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca vaccines.
