Geneva - Skopje with EasyJet, from November 1, 2021

The low-cost airline easyJet will launch a new seasonal connection between Geneva and Skopje this autumn, its first route to Northern Macedonia.

From 1 November 2021 to 25 March 2022, the British low-cost airline will offer two and - subsequently - three flights a week between its Geneva-Cointrin base and Skopje airport. The flights will be operated by single-aisle Airbus aircraft.

Geneva - Skopje with EasyJet.

On Mondays, the flight will take place according to the following schedule:

Geneva 12:50 - 15:05 Skopje
Skopje 15:45 - 18:10 Geneva

On Fridays, the flight will take place according to the following schedule:

Geneva 10:50 - 13:05 Skopje
Skopje 13:05 - 16:10 Geneva

A third weekly flight will be added in early December, every Thursday.

EasyJet will be without competition on this route, Skopje is already connected to Switzerland via Chair Airlines and Edelweiss Air (from Zurich) plus Wizz Air which operates a base there (Basel-Mulhouse). The low-cost network in the former Yugoslavia has no route to Bosnia and Herzegovina, but complements existing flights to Belgrade, Dubrovnik, Ljubljana, Pula, Pristina, Split, Tivat and Zadar.

Skopje Airport recorded - in the first seven months of the year - a traffic of almost 570.000 passengers, a decrease of 56.4% compared to the same period in 2019. This makes the airport the third busiest in the region, behind the airport. from Zagreb and Pristina. Twenty airlines are present there, but the airport is not served by any French airline. However, Wizz Air connects Skopje to Beauvais.
