Inauguration of Zurich - London City flights with Bombardier CS100 SWISS
On 8 August 2017, SWISS inaugurated Zurich - London City flights with the Bombardier CS100 aircraft.
SWISS became the first airline in the world with commercial flights operated by Bombardier aircraft to London City Airport. Bombardier CS100, an advanced aircraft equipped with state-of-the-art technology, will continue to operate scheduled SWISS flights to and from London. The first flight Bomber CS100 SWISS landed at 17: 47 at London City Airport, London time.

With the short runway and special approach to landing, London City Airport requires pilots, who need to make additional preparations.
In addition to the pilot's additional training, the aircraft itself had to be certified to perform the special landing at London City Airport. The aircraft manufacturer, Bombardier from Montreal, Canada, obtained certification in April this year.
The London City Airport operator is also pleased with the arrival of the aircraft.
