MasterCard opens a Business Lounge at Henri Coanda Airport
MasterCard opens a Business Lounge at Bucharest Otopeni Henri Coandă Airport, offering free access to MasterCard Premium - Platinum, World, World Elite and Corporate card holders. With an area of over 350 sqm, MasterCard Business Lounge can accommodate up to 80 travelers, providing snacks, coffee, soft drinks and alcohol, all in an elegant space.
The opening of the MasterCard Lounge at the Bucharest airport is part of a regional program that aims to create a special travel experience for MasterCard Premium card holders. Thus, MasterCard has opened other such lounges in Prague, Budapest and Kiev, and holders of MasterCard Premium cards can also benefit from free entry into the Vienna airport business lounge.
Even if they don't have laptops or tablets on them, MasterCard Lounge visitors can check their emails or browse the Internet, because the lounge is equipped with tablets provided by Microsoft Romania. With Windows 8.1 and Office 2013 operating systems installed on tablets, travelers will be able to even edit or create Word, Excel and Power Point documents or track business applications such as Torch for Basecamp - to better keep track of their daily agenda - and Tradeville, which helps them keep abreast of developments in the stock market. In addition, Internet Explorer 11 allows for fast and secure browsing, and the Bing Smart Search system greatly shortens the search time of any information.
The MasterCard Lounge is elegantly furnished, providing travelers with a bar with snacks and soft drinks and alcohol, but also wi-fi - all free for those who hold MasterCard Premium cards. The bar is supplied and managed by Alpha Rocas, a project partner.
The MasterCard Lounge design and layout were made by two Romanian architects, Marian Oprea and Iulia Trifan - 122 StudioLab, who have rich experience in office design projects, working for the headquarters of international corporations active in Romania or for large developers.
